I just bought some of those CFL light bulbs and they work great. They are really saving me a lot of money and they last so long. I like how small they are too.

There is one other important aspect to LEDs worth mentioning. They not only have highly directional light but the heat they generate (from the driver chip) is thrown away from the light. This is a big advantage for applications like refrigeration lighting...the light doesn't contribute to the cooling load as is the case for incadescent & fluorescent lighting.
